Jaguar XJ40 aka XJ6 Diecast

This is a 1/64 scale diecast of the somewhat unloved "boxy" Jaguar XJ40 unleashed upon the public during the 1980s. This sedan was called the XJ6 in the Colonies.

British-Leyland, then owners of Jaguar, decided it was time to freshen up the look of their classic XJ6 sedan. The Brits were inspired by the design cues coming out of Germany hence this squared-off "modern" look.

Not everyone loved it therefore the next generation of XJ6 had a more streamlined, retro look that's been keep alive up until...oh this month.

Check out pictures of the 2010 XJ sedan's revolutionary new look at carmagazine.
